Meet the Pastor
On Sunday June 16, 2013, Jeff started as the bi-vocational pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. Jeff is no stranger to the Tri-County area. For 9 years, he worked as a teacher, coach, and for 10 years principal at Jesse D. Lay Elementary in Barbourville. Now Jeff is the principal at Knox Central High School. He has also worked part time as the youth minister at Barbourville First United Methodist Church and part time as the Conference Youth Facilitator for the Red Bird Missionary Conference. Jeff is also involved with Union College and the Union College alumni association.
Jeff is married to Robin Frost who works for the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) in Barbourville and she enjoys working in Children's ministries. Jeff and Robin have three daughters and reside in Barbourville. Karra who is married to Kevin Merida. She works at Barnhill Pediatrics and he teaches and assist with Knox Central High School football program. They both reside in Barbourville. Karra and Kevin are pleased to welcome their first child, Kenleigh Elizabeth Merida on December 31, 2015. This is Jeff & Robin's first grandchild! Lauren is a graduate of Knox Central High School and currently attends Jefferson Community & Technical College in Louisville. Lauren is working to become certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Lauren dates her longtime boyfriend Coty Walters who is a recent graduate of EKU majoring in Criminal Justice. Isabella attends Jesse D. Lay Elementary and is a sixth grader. She enjoys dancing, swimming, golfing, and basketball. Isabella is active with the Trinity youth group.
